Children's Author & Illustrator
I've been writing and illustrating children's books since I was 17. I love getting to create stories filled with wonder and whimsy. It's been an absolute privilege getting to tour schools all around Egypt as an author, sharing my books, talking about creativity, and having wonderful conversations with students, teachers, and librarians.
Podcast Co-Creator & Host
I co-created the "قصص لأطفال النهارده" (kesas le2atfal elnaharda) kids podcast alongside Nadine el Gendy and Esraa Saleh 'super2bla".
We tell stories in Egyptian Arabic (rather than the less accessible traditional Arabic) with modern lessons for the next generation of kids. In addition to co-hosting the podcast I set up its pages and create all the illustrations.
The podcast has tens of thousands of listens and reached the #1 spot for kid's podcasts in the MENA region.
Scene Eats Founding Editor
In 2019 I successfully pitched the Scene Eats platform to MO4 network - one of the MENA's biggest digital media and marketing agencies. I took a 6 month leave from my studies to head the project, working on everything from the platform's structure to content production.
Scene Eats is now one of MO4 Network's biggest platforms.
